CARE & FEEDING OF YOUR GRAMMY

We realize how irresistible GRAMMYS are, and every one who sees one wants to hold it.
The GRAMMY is cast in a metal allow and after being filed, ground and polished they are electroplated first in copper, then nickel plated, and finally they are plated in 24K gold, and while gold will not tarnish it can become dull after being handled a lot.
It is also subject a lot of mean and nasty environmental elements, which can also dull the finish.

First of all we do not recommend frequent cleaning. The gold can actually be rubbed of if it is rubbed enough.

After years of trying different polishes and metal cleaners we have found that mild dish soap will clean off finger prints and bring back the luster making it look brand new.

To clean your GRAMMY, hold it by the "tone arm", the part that the bell is to attached to. Using a soft cotton cloth soaked in warm soapy water gently wipe it clean. Then rinse it once or twice with a soft cotton cloth soaked in clear warm water. Then wipe dry it dry with a soft bath towel. That's it.. Done !

Again, please don't clean often

DO NOT use any metal cleaning products
DO NOT use anything other than soft cotton cloths
BE CAREFUL not to get the felt bottom wet, it could get ugly
ALWAYS hold your GRAMMY by the tone arm

Having been involved in designing and making the GRAMMY Award Statue for 30 years our quest is to continue to make it the finest it can be. We are proud of our workmanship and proud of each and every GRAMMY winner.

Congratulations
